Network, Address, and Memo/Tag Checklist

Most irreversible crypto mistakes happen in the last minute before you tap Send. Use this checklist on every Exswaping order. It does not replace the live order screen — if the order UI and this article disagree, follow the order UI.

Open your order on exswaping.com, then compare network + address (+ memo/tag only if shown) character by character before sending.

1. Network

  • Confirm the asset and network shown on the order (for example USDT on TRC20 vs ERC20 vs BEP20).
  • Select the same network in your wallet send screen. A matching ticker is not enough.
  • Wrong-network deposits are often unrecoverable. See USDT networks and the network checker.

2. Destination address

  • Copy the deposit address only from the active Exswaping order.
  • Paste into the wallet, then visually compare the first and last characters.
  • Never replace it with an address from an unsolicited Telegram DM — see fake support.
  • Do not reuse an address from an old completed order.

3. Memo / tag / destination tag

Some rails require an extra memo, tag, or destination tag in addition to the address. Others do not.

  • If your Exswaping order shows a memo/tag field, copy it exactly and include it in the send. Missing or wrong memo can delay or lose credit even when the address is correct.
  • If the order does not show a memo/tag, do not invent one. Extra memos on rails that do not use them can cause confusion; follow the order form.
  • USDT on TRC20/ERC20/BEP20 typically uses an address without a memo. XRP/XLM-style destination tags are a different pattern — only apply them when the order UI asks for them.

4. Amount and fees

  • Send the amount rules shown for the order. Network fees are usually paid on top to the blockchain, separate from the quote.
  • Underpayment or overpayment can require manual review. Do not send a second transfer without instructions — see stuck order after payment.

5. After you send

  1. Save the txid.
  2. Return to the order page on exswaping.com.
  3. Use “I paid” only after the transfer is actually broadcast, if that control is available.
  4. Wait for detection and confirmations; contact official support if the wallet shows success but the order stays on checking.

FAQ

Do all Exswaping deposits need a memo?

No. Only when the order displays a memo/tag field.

Address correct, memo wrong

Contact support with order ID and txid. Outcome depends on the rail; recovery is not guaranteed.

Can I fix a wrong network myself?

Usually not from the customer wallet alone. Contact official support promptly with evidence.
